Quilting

Lorrie Healey is one of Ashlyn's favorite adults.  She has been known as Lorrie Roemer until she was married this past summer.  Ash loves going to visit her and play with her pets.  Tonight, when Ash came with me to Courtney O'Driscolls house to help finish some quilts taken on as a service project, she was totally thrilled when Lorrie walked in.
I love that there are people like this in Ashlyn's life that she can look up to and emulate.

Angel Baby Garden Walk

Today was a memorial walk for Angel babies at the International Peace Gardens.  Heidi is on the chair, or something, and told me about it and I got the details from Stacie, who also has an angel baby. I then called Brooke and asked if she wanted to come with.  It was a neat event.  There were a couple speakers, and the "Keynote" speaker was the "Missionary mom" from the movie, "Meet the Mormons".  Her story is heart breaking and inspiring, but was next to impossible to hear because of the sound system.  Other than that, it was a beautiful event meant to tribute and help bring knowledge and peace to those dealing with the lifelong struggle of infant loss.  I am glad we were able to attend.

Chic-Fil-A

My friend Heidi delivered a full term stillborn baby girl 3 years ago today. In honor of her sweet angel she has decided to annually participate/plan a charitable event to assist families in similar circumstances. Last year she organized a service project to make memory boxes for hand and feet molds of babies gone too soon.
This year she helped organize an event with the support of the South Jordan Chic-fil-A donating part of their proceeds to the izzy jane foundation whose proceeds help with funeral costs of stillborns.
Heidi, An amazing friend, woman, and mother.
I'm glad my other friend Katie asked me to join her and her two kiddos at CFA... Otherwise we would have just done drive through and gone right back home to some more studying for school tomorrow!
Dinner was perfect tonight!
