Airborne

August 27, 2014

I had a TON of homework. Ashlyn was at her friend, Jordyn's for the day (celebrating her birthday), we had already tackled a tough loss with Carsons soccer team and helped Brooke and Paul move, and I knew if I went home and turned the boys loose, they would spend the day on the tv or other electronic devices. So instead, I toted my laptop into airborne and set the boys loose for two hours while I plowed into my "Christian Worldview" class.

Can't take them anywhere

This is why I take my audiobook to keep me company, instead of my family.  This is just typical of what I go through when I am trying to go shopping with anyone other than Ashlyn.  Not only do I spend twice (minimum) the amount of money I originally planned, but twice (minimum) the amount of time as well!

...Although, I must admit, they are pretty entertaining, and I do feel less guilty when half our our booty contributes to my own booty.

Brothers part 2

1/21/16
I know I just posted, not too long ago, about these two, but I absolutely love it when there is harmony in my home. It's not the norm, but it's not the exception either. The tall one on the left has always been a major mood contributor. The saying goes something along the lines of, "if moms happy, everyone's happy" but in our home, although I am aware my mood does carry a heavier overall weight, AJ usually sets my mood. Ash and Cars are mostly even tempered, but AJ wears his emotions on his sleeves and what he feels, he expresses, and not much can change it. So when these moments worm into our evening, I just have to capture it.

Brothers

When they actually get along, it's usually in Aj's terms, but Carson is all too happy to oblige... Even when he becomes a literal punching bag.
Cheap fun at the White House.

They fight like cats and dogs. Daily. AJ is relentless and constantly asserting his dominance over Carson. But when push comes to shove, he really loves him, and makes moments like this all the more sweet. AJ dominates this "ninja course" at airborne. He is consistent at completing it in just over a minute, when he tries. Carson isn't technically tall enough to go through it, but his desire seeped through enough for the employee to let him try it and AJ was by his side gently guiding and encouraging him through step by step.
Brothers.
