Today was a busy day. I got up at 6:30 (thanks BJ for waking me up...) took a long shower, got ready, the kids got up at 7:30 while I made bacon & egg biscuits and juice for breakfast After breakfast I got the kids ready GRABBED CARSON"S BLACK CROCS then we headed out the door around 9:00. First Stop ___ to pick up ___ for BJ's birthday (the 30th). They didn't have it so I went to ___. Ended up spending $xx.00 but they didn't have the ____ I was looking for. Next stop ___, guess what, not there either. Last stop___ FINALLY...oh, wait. Nope. So, we stopped at Carls Jr for Lunch, ate it in the car on our way home to pick up Braden and Bridger for kindergarten carpool. We dropped the kids off at school and intended to shop some more, but I decided to let carson take his nap. So we went home and I raked some of the grass (which is having some serious issues....), planted some flowers, as well as some vegetables, altered the drip system, and fertilized. (while Ashlyn watched Atlantis and Carson slept) I had to wake up carson to go get AJ (3 hour nap! way to go buba!) I Picked up the kids, dropped the neighbors off and headed out to check three more stores to find the ___ and then Lowes to get another drip part. The three more ended up being one! The first store had it!!! Yeah!!! (Wipe the brow!)
So we headed to the last stop of the day- Lowes. I parked the car, got carson out, then-This may seem odd, but after all this, (hand motioning to above chaos) I just realized that Carson wasn't wearing shoes. I don't think I put them on him all day. He has been my little hip rider all day and I didn't notice... then I thought....did I put them on??? YES! I did! Before I
started panicking about loosing the shoes Lisa gave Carson and the only shoes Carson can put on himself, and the shoes that don't pick up mud in the soles, and the shoes that you can hose off and they are dry in 3 minutes, and the shoes that you can buy little bobbley things for...I took a deep breath, looked through the entire car, looked around the outside of the car, looked inside some more...it was gone. Gone. See my sad face, wipe away the tear, gone. I wondered if they sold crocs in singles. Maybe I could get one on ebay. If I backtracked.... ok, it's just a shoe. We went in to Lowes, got the part, were back to the car in 11 minutes. When I got to the car, there was a little, size 8, black croc, stuffed under my driver door handle.
So this post may seem like a rant about my chaotic day, but it is really a tribute to all those who take time to pay it forward. Kudos to you. xoxoxo
