Spring sounds

I don't particularly love springtime. I like the new growth and promise of warmer days ahead, but for the most part, colors are muted, moods are inconsistent and you never know what to plan from day to day. But something I have always looked forward to are the sounds.
Chirping of birds
Clipping of branches
Laughing children
Bikes, scooters, scateboards
Life emerges.
Well, today when I got home from a particularly exhausting day, I decided to enjoy those sounds from the comfort of my trampoline. It started out beautifully. Bj was trimming a tree, while Odin... The dog... Was pacing back and forth quietly retrieving objects for his master. I was able to lie in peace... For about three minutes. Until...The neighbors dogs were very curious about the "chaos" occurring in our yard and weren't afraid to chat about it through a barrage of barking. (Zero tolerance for barking)
There goes my peaceful hiatus before the kids get home.
But, after they got home I was able to help my darling daughter with her homework on the sun roasted tramp. (As we tried desperately to ignore the incessant yapping).
