I haven't seen Amie in months. She sent me a text tonight and after a bit of back and forth she decided to bring me an impromptu treat of mint-marshmallow-caramel-popcorn. I wouldn't say no to that! So she brought a life sized bowl and sat down at my table and shared it with me. The popcorn was so good that stopping and leaving some for someone else wasn't an option. But as good as the popcorn was, the conversation was even better. I miss her. We saw each other a lot when our kids were little but the older they got the busier we got. It is nice to have the kind of friendship that we can pick up and go when it works for our busy lives. We should definitely pick up more often. Next time I'll bring the popcorn!
