I am so proud of this girl! She got her Young American award today at school! This is not something just handed out. She did a lot of studying at home, most was done at school under the direction of her amazing teacher, and my friend, Mrs. Opie. Ashlyn is such an ideal student so far in her life. She enjoys learning, and retains information really well (she gets that from her daddy, the retaining part). She has loved the 5th grade, her friends, her teacher, and the curriculum. Almost every day she comes home excited to tell me what she learned in science, or social studies, and even math and language arts. I wish everyone knew this amazing girl and what a wonderful person she is. Im so lucky to be her mom.
